Mob Psycho 100 is on its way with a new episode this week, and that means big things await Shigeo. After all, Season 3 has been a whirlwind for the hero, and his journey is far from over. In the wake of Dimple’s exit, life is on its head for Shigeo these days, and our first look at Episode IX promises to turn things around even more.
As you can see below, the team behind Mob Psycho 100 has given its first look at Episode IX. This week’s big release will be titled “Moving” according to the update, and it will follow Shigeo as he deals with some of the darkest experiences of adolescence.
After all, we can see Shigeo in the first still at the top left looking surprised by something offscreen. His wide expression shows that Shigeo is confused, which could be thanks to his crush. The girl appears in a different image for Episode IX, and Shigeo’s younger brother appears in one episode.

Of course, Reigen is also there because who can help Shigeo during an existential crisis? The man is seen sitting at his desk as usual, raising his hand to the monitor. As you can imagine, Shigeo and Reigen will have some sort of mission to deal with in Episode IX, and the mission will reflect psychological struggles about growing up. And as long as no one dies during this mission like Dimple who made it through episodes ago, we’ll all be fine.
If you haven’t caught up with Mob Psycho 100, the anime will stream weekly on Crunchyroll and Hulu. Season 3 will end in one yard, so there isn’t much left before Shigeo reaches its conclusion.
